A filing just released from Green Mountain Coffee (Nasdaq: GMCR) Chairman Robert Stiller showed that he sold 200,000 shares of common stock on 5/04 at $73.22. The sale follows the huge run-up in the stock from the low $50s on April 30, after a strong earnings report and a deal with Wal-Mart (NYSE: WMT) to distribute the company's Keurig's gourmet single-cup coffee brewers and patented K-Cup portion packs in 3,000 stores.
Mr. Stiller is cashing in a handsome $14.6 million from the sale. The sale is not concerning at this point, because Mr. Stiller delivered the goods for shareholders and deserves a little reward - like a mansion, a yacht or the like.
Mr. Stiller still holds 3,981,118 GMCR shares after the sale.
