Google (GOOG) to Spend Millions on First Asia/Pacific Data Centers

Google (Nasdaq: GOOG) is looking to begin having it's own data centers in the Asia/Pacific region.
According to reports Wednesday, Google will spend $200 million or more in an effort to increase the speed for users in the region. Data centers are expected to be built in Singapore, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, according to Dow Jones.
The centers are expected to come online within one to two years. Google currently keeps 15 offices in the region.
Google shares are trading slightly higher Wednesday morning.
