Using a Windows Phone 8-based device and having trouble running Google's (Nasdaq: GOOG) YouTube app? You're not alone.
According to TheVerge, Google said it released an updated version of the YouTube app that runs on HTML5, but Microsoft simply re-released a version of the app that violated Google's Terms of Service. So, Google revoked the API key and reworked YouTube's ad code.
Since the report was first released, Google said it has been working with Microsoft on a compatible, ToS-friendly version of the YouTube app.
Shares of Microsoft are down 1.8 percent Thursday.
