Google's (GOOG) New Jelly Bean Will Be Your Ultimate Personal Assistant

June 27, 2012 1:34 PM EDT
Google (Nasdaq: GOOG) is looking to control your life.

According to its I/O event Wednesday, Google Now (codenamed "Jelly Bean"), the third part of its three-leg demonstration, will find out where you are, give you a bus schedule, tell you the right time to leave based on traffic, map out that traffic, map a route around it, walk your dog, tie your shoes, and kiss your wife before you leave.

We're just kidding about the shoes part.

In all seriousness, Google's Now setup is amazing and really paints a picture of what the tech company wants to accomplish with its Google Glass project (announced earlier in the year, basically a personal HUD which allows you to communicate, search, take photos, and so on).

Google Now should make it out by mid-July.

The event is ongoing as of this post. Shares of Google are up about 1.3 percent.
