Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS) has affirmed hiring lawyers in connection with the U.S. investigation.
In a statement to CNBC, Goldman said CEO Lloyd Blankfein was one among those who sought legal advice. The lawyers were hired at the start of the DOJ probe of PSI matters. They said it was typical to hire lawyers in such a situation.
