April 10, 2015 11:56 AM EDT

GoDaddy (NYSE: GDDY) is said to have acquired Elto, which is a San Francisco-based startup focusing on connecting business owners and those less familiar with tech to web developers aimed at helping those customers improve their web presence.

Terms were not disclosed.

TechCrunch said Elto was at 25,000 customers at the time of GoDaddy's acquisition.

Elto offers two ways for a customer to pay: either submit a brief and a project manager would define the project and offer a ballpark price, or be able to select from a series of fixed price services.

Shares of GoDaddy are down 1.2 percent Friday.
