Las Vegas gaming stocks are surging today on the back of a bullish research note from analysts at KeyBanc. The firm believes that better than expected New Year's and November gaming numbers will be a positive catalyst for the Las Vegas centric stocks, Las Vegas Sands (NYSE: LVS), MGM MIRAGE (NYSE: MGM) and Wynn Resorts (Nasdaq: WYNN).
The firm maintained a Buy rating on MGM MIRAGE and Neutral ratings on both Las Vegas Sands and Wynn Resorts.
Shares of Las Vegas Sands are currently up 20%, most recently trading at $8.52. Shares of LVS are up about 44% in the last two days of trading. Next, shares of MGM, KeyBanc's favorite, are only up 2.7% to $15.85. Notably, KeyBanc has an $18 price target on MGM. Lastly, Wynn Resorts stock is up 8.7% to $51.55. It's stock price has risen by about 22% in 2009's two days of trading.
