GM (GM) Spikes on June Sales Results; Shares Up 3%

Shares of General Motors (NYSE: GM) have spiked intraday after releasing its June sales results. The automaker reported its adjusted sales fell 8%, much better than the down 21% that the Street expected.
Just before the sales results hit the market, shares of GM were down nearly 6% from yesterday's close. The stock has now spiked and is up more than 3%, swinging about 9% from the session lows. The GM report has also caused a bounce in shares of Ford (NYSE: F).
