General Electric (NYSE: G) executives are expecting a major windfall from this week's Paris Air Show.
According to the Wall Street Journal, General Electric executives see adding up to more than $10 billion in orders over the course of the week. The orders will be mainly for expanded services and new engines.
Further, General Electric is modeling to supply engines and systems for 3,000 Comac C919s, about 1,000 more than originally anticipated. General Electic Aviation CEO David Joyce also sees the unit supplying engines for 4,000 of Aribus' new A320neo range.
An exec at GE's Gecas unit reported the segment is underweight in wide-body aircraft and pursuing opportunities in financing planes like the Airbus A330 and Boeing (NYSE: BA) 787 and 747.
GE shares last traded at $18.69, up 1.1 percent from Monday's closing price.
