ODM to the stars Foxconn (Hon Hai Precision) was out with another solid revenue report Thursday.
According to the company, revenue rose 13.9 percent to NT$360.94 billion. The news comes following a 16.4 percent gain in November to NT$351.73 billion.
Overall, revenue rose 16.1 percent to NT$2.77 trillion in 2012.
That compares with a 19.9 percent gain in 2011 and 19.89 percent growth last December.
Foxconn benefited on increased orders for consumer electronics goods, most notably, Apple's (Nasdaq: AAPL) iPhone and iPad mini. Foxconn noted that, although revs rose, contribution from PC sales was ebbing.
The PC news is a negative for companies like Dell (Nasdaq: DELL) and Hewlett-Packard (NYSE: HPQ), which have had a large presence in the PC market, but haven't been able to successfully garner a large share of tablets and have no presence in the smartphone market.
