Foxconn Has Cities of People Cranking-Out Apple (AAPL) iPhone 5s

Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) sells a ton of smartphones. In its fiscal 2011 reporting year, Apple sold 72.3 million iPhones, which was up 81 percent over the prior year (iPhone 4S sales not included, Apple's year ends in September).
Some are estimating that Apple will sell about 40 million units (or more) of its iPhone 5, which is about 55 percent of the aforementioned number.
The thing is, someone has to make all those devices. And that someone is generally Foxconn (Hon Hai) in Taiwan.
Demand from Apple is putting an actual labor shortage in Foxconn, Digitimes reports today. Demand has Apple increasing its orders from 8 million to 10 million iPhone 5 units in September up to 14 million to 16 million units in October. That is making Foxconn sweat, because it literally can't find anyone else to work.
Digitimes said Foxconn has 150,000 workers dedicated to the production of Apple's iPhone 5. Given that 500,000 devices have got to be made each day to meet demand, you can bet those factories are working 24 hours. seven days a week.
Apple is trading slightly lower on the session Tuesday.
