Ford (F) Shares Spike on Completion of Debt Restructuring

After opening today's trading session relatively flat from last week's close, shares of Ford (NYSE: F) have now surged more than 22% on news that it has completed its debt restructuring initiatives, which will reduce the company's debt by $9.9 billion. The stock most recently traded at $3.90.

Shares of Ford, which normally trade around 47 million shares all day, have already been traded more than 41 million times.

The news has also attracted traders to shares of GM (NYSE: GM), which are now up more than 7% to $2.25.
