Final Pre-IPO Facebook (FB) Auction Yields Valuation of $103 Billion

In what will likely be the final pre-IPO auction of Facebook (NYSE: FB) (Nasdaq: FB) shares, SharesPost announced on Friday, March 30 that is completed the auction of 150,000 units at $44.10.
The recent auction values the company at approx. $103 billion, according to the site.
SharesPost announced last week, at the Facebook's request, that it would will cease facilitating transactions in Facebook stock to help ensure the company's orderly transition into the public markets.
The secondary exchange announced that more than 1,100 institutions and individuals participated in their Facebook auctions, resulting in total share and unit sales of more than $425,000,000. This makes SharesPost the most active auction platform for Facebook shares, according to the exchange.
Facebook is looking to raise $5 billion an IPO expected to launch in May.
