General Motors' (NYSE: GM) CEO Mary Barra is expected to appear in front of a House Committee on June 18th and regulators aren't wasting any time gathering more information.
The WSJ said Friday that federal prosecutors are interviewing current and former GM employees as part of the ongoing probe. Prosecutors have summoned those named in a 325-page company-commissioned report prepared by attorney Anton Valukas earlier this month for voluntary interviews at the U.S. Attorney's office in Manhattan.
The WSJ also noted that several state attorneys general are looking into the delayed GM recalls. GM previously said it was aware of one state attorney general looking into the matter.
Shares of GM are modestly positive in late Friday trading.
