Facebook (FB) Shares Drop as "Purge" Enters Day 2

According to reports, yesterday Facebook (Nasdaq: FB) began the process of purging 80 million fake user profiles. As a result, many users are seeing a huge drop in "Likes". The purge was announced last month and includes automated efforts to clean up the system and eliminate the fake profiles, malware, compromised accounts, deception, and purchases of bulk Likes.
Of the 950 million Facebook accounts, 8.7 could be duplicates or otherwise undesirable user accounts, according to data previous announcement by Facebook. Techcrunch.com noticed a sharp decline in fans of Zynga's (Nasdaq: ZYGA) Texas Holdem Poker, which lost 96 thousand of its 63 million fans yesterday.
