Facebook (Nasdaq: FB) ended Thursday's session up 0.3 percent as the company updated its Home software for Google's (Nasdaq: GOOG) Android mobile operating system.
In an update released today, a new apps dock will be added to Facebook Hone, with users able to drag non-Facebook apps into the launcher tray.
Despite a weak launch (just over 1 million users are said to have downloaded the app), Facebook is committed to its latest mobile effort and will likely put more resources behind Home. Not being able to quickly access favorite apps was one of the bigger gripes among early adapters.
Along with the app dock, users are now able to post multiple photos at once and privacy control on posts is now available.
Shares of Facebook are up in late trading.
