Facebook (Nasdaq: FB) shares indicated for a sharply lower open Monday following its much-anticipated IPO last Friday.

Shares are indicated below the initial price of $38 as investors and traders continue to evaluate the late opening due to Nasdaq issues as well as tepid price movement.

Lower this morning are peers Groupon (Nasdaq: GRPN), Linkedin Corp. (Nasdaq: LNKD), and Zynga (Nasdaq: ZNGA). In addition, GSV Capital (Nasdaq: GSVC) and Firsthand Technology Value Fund (Nasdaq: SVVC) shares are also lower.

Shares of Facebook are down about 4.5 percent in early trading.
