Facebook (Nasdaq: FB) is moving forward with keeping user engagement and might be doing so in the best way possible.
Reports out Wednesday have Facebook adding a new photo-sharing feature, allowing users to reply to posts with a picture. Though a simple feature which is available on a vast number of social networks, Facebook has been a late-adopter to the technology.
Previously, an automatic picture would be generated when including the URL of where the image is located, or one for a news article, but this is the first time users will be able to upload directly from their computer.
Support for animated GIFs isn't available yet and it wasn't made clear whether this feature is available on the Facebook Home software for Android
Facebook is up 0.3 percent Wednesday.
