FDIC's Bair Requests Raise To Deposit Insurance Limits
FDIC Chairman Sheila C. Bair will request authority to raise bank deposit insurance limits. Bair notified Barney Frank, Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, of the request in a memo.
The memo did not say how much the new limit would be. The current limit is $100,000.
