El Paso (EP) Hits New 52-Week High on JPMorgan Upgrade

Shares of El Paso Corp. (NYSE: EP) are up $0.50 today, or 2.6%, to $19.73 on an upgrade at JPMorgan.

Today's move higher marks the eighth day in a row El Paso has finished higher than its opening price, meaning it has yet to have declining day in May. El Paso shares have hit a new 52-week high today at $19.75.

JPMorgan raised its investment rating on El Paso from Neutral to Overweight, saying the company's management has steadily improved fundamentals, but the stock still remains undervalued.

El Paso Corporation operates in the natural gas transmission, and exploration and production sectors of the energy industry in the United States. [BCS]
