eBay Inc (Nasdaq: EBAY) continues its 2005 sell-off even after respectable Q1 earnings and guidance; the stock is down 45% YTD. The thought in some circles yesterday was the stock would see a bid if earnings came in-line with the street or slightly below, as a 'sell the rumor - buy the news play'.
But earnings came in better and they took the hatchet out again. This is not a phenomenon just for eBay, but has applied to the whole market recently - "sell good news".
Wheres the bad news when you need it? LOL
