Disney (DIS) Contracts with Two Major Streaming Media Providers

Shares of Disney (NYSE: DIS) are trading flat Monday after hashing streaming content deals with two of the biggest names in the industry.

Earlier this morning, Disney issued a statement announcing it was extending its licensing agreement with Netflix (Nasdaq: NFLX), though a time frame or price tag weren't attached. The agreement says "episodes from new seasons of current Disney-ABC series will be made available to Netflix 30-days after the last episode of each season airs."

The company also coined a deal with Amazon.com (Nasdaq: AMZN). Like Netflix, terms weren't disclosed, but the release said, "The agreement was brokered by Disney-ABC Domestic Television with Amazon."

Notably, you can stream Netflix from 700 different devices, and 300 for Amazon.

Amazon updated its offerings, saying it now has 13,000 movies and TV shows available for Prime members. The deal might be more of a boon for Amazon, which recently introduced it's Kindle Fire media tablet. The devices will begin shipping November 15th to those who pre-ordered the device.
