Logitech (Nasdaq: LOGI) is slumping Monday following an earlier announcement of new accessories for Apple's iPad Air.
Logitech debuted the FabricSkin Keyboard Folio, Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover, Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Folio, and Logitech Folio Protective Case for the new iPad Air, the company said in a PR.
But, were investors looking for something more? While the iPad certainly has robust sales numbers, many might have been hoping for an announcement surrounding Apple's iPhone 5s and 5c. Rumors over the last few months had Logitech working on a wrapper-type game controller, which would have the user insert their iPhone and use the controller just like someone playing a PlayStation or Xbox.
While there are still plenty of days left before the holiday shopping season gets into full-swing, investors might be nervous that Logitech could miss a key window of opportunity. Generally, companies like to build a little anticipating and get people talking before an actual product hits the market, that way it'll be met with some demand right out of the gate.
Shares of Logitech are down 2.8 percent.
