Devon Energy (DVN) Evacuating Non-Essential Personnel from Gulf Coast Rigs -DJ

Dow Jones is reporting that Devon Energy (NYSE: DVN) has begun evacuating non-essential personnel from its drilling rigs off the Gulf coast. Specifically, Devon has sent helicopters to the Ocean Endeavor and the Baroness rigs in preparation of Tropical Storm Gustav entering the Gulf of Mexico possibly during next week. According to reports, more than 100 employees work at each of the rigs being evacuated.
