Darling (DAR) Shares Pop Following Better than Expected Q1 Results

Darling International Inc. (NYSE: DAR) shares are showing some after-hours strength, trading up about 9.7 percent.

The Company reported first quarter EPS of $0.43 on revs of $439.9 million, both topping consensus estimates calling for EPS of $0.29 and revs of $367.61 million. EPS was a 207 percent increase from $0.14 in the first quarter last year, while revs jumped 170 percent from $162.8 million.
