Coca-Cola (NYSE: KO) shares may be trending higher Wednesday morning not on PepsiCo. (NYSE: PEP) news -- as one might expect -- but from a strategic headline photo from Bloomberg. Maybe.
In a Facebook (Nasdaq: FB) article Wednesday, Bloomberg placed a photo of a female Facebook employee reaching into a Facebook-themed refrigerator for an ice-cold Dr Pepper (NYSE: DPS). Along with the "Doctor," other offerings in the 'fridge include Coca-Cola, Diet Coke, and Vitamin Water. All are Coca-Cola brand products.
Seems silly, but it's good advertisement for Coca-Cola, especially with all the attention the upcoming Facebook IPO is getting. We're just saying.
Shares of Coca-Cola are up 0.3 percent in early trading.
