Circuit City (NYSE: CC) is trading down $0.10 on the day at $7.34. Today, the U.S. Commerce Department reported that retail sales for the month of November jumped 1.2% (double the consensus estimate). In the report it also said that electronics sales jumped 2.5%, which was much higher than almost every other segment.
This shows that there is intense demand for electronics this holiday season. This strong demand this season, should prove helpful to Circuity City. I would keep Circuit City on your radar coming into the new year.
