Yahoo (Nasdaq: YHOO) is down over 10% after the WSJ reported Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) and Yahoo talks are over. Also, Yahoo confirmed that Microsoft talks have concluded. Carl Icahn built a large position in Yahoo in the wake that Microsoft may buy the company. Today, is probably not the best day at Icahn & Co.
Additionally, T. Boone Pickens BP Capital, Dan Loeb's Third Point and Jon Paulson's Paulson & Co also recently established positions in Yahoo in the wake of Icahn's move. On CNBC, T. Boone Pickens said "in Carl I trust." Pickens bought on the open market after he heard Icahn took a large position in Yahoo.
