BusinessWeek's Inside Wall Street discussed three stocks this week: Google (Nasdaq: GOOG), Clean Diesel Technologies (Nasdaq: CDTI) and Cytori Therapeutics (Nasdaq: CYTX).
The article talks about Google's 33 analyst Buy ratings, focusing on Georges Yared's $1,200 2009 price target. Yared expects Google to continue growing at about 40-50%, with EPS of $29 by 2009.
The article also points out that Google's advertising business will not be hurt badly by an economic downturn.
BusinessWeek expects Clean Diesel Technologies to greatly benefit from the recent trend of "Going Green". Clean Diesel has recently licensed its nitrogen oxide reducing products to two makers of emission-control goods, Tenneco (NYSE: TEN) and Germnay's Robert Bosch.
An analyst at H.C. Wainwright who covers Clean Diesel Tech. says the stock is undervalued as its products will begin to be licensed more and high-margin revenue streams will become increasingly visible.
The last stock discussed in the article is Cytori Therapeutics, a developer of regenerative cell therapies for cardiovascular disease, reconstructive surgery and many other serious, chronic and life threatening conditions. Cytori seems to already be gaining an advantage in the stem cell market with its Celution System. The device attempts to extract stem cells from an adult's own fat tissue and injects the cells into the same patient in a variety of medical situations.
One analyst covering Cytori says the stock price will rise from $5.25 to $7.20 in 2008, saying "fat tissue provides a high-yield source for stem cells and other regenerative cells."
