British prime minister David Cameron is launching an attack against Twitter (NYSE: TWTR).
During his keynote speech to the Conservative Party conference on Wednesday, Cameron commented that The vast majority of people aren’t obsessives, arguing at the extremes of the debate. Let me put it as simply as I can: Britain and Twitter are not the same thing. The British people are decent, sensible, reasonable.
Cameron is a notable Twitter user, having posted over 2,000 tweets since joining the site. The PM also posted the following on Tuesday, just before today's speech:
I've been working on my conference speech, which I'll be giving at 1130am tomorrow in Manchester. pic.twitter.com/Y3XJfp4hk9
