Appearing on CNBC's The Call, bearish financial analyst Dick Bove, now at Rochdale Securities, said he does not think nationalizing Citigroup (NYSE: C) is such a great idea. He reminded viewers that with a 40% stake in the bank, the government would likely have control of Citi's decision-making process.
Bove's answer to the financial malaise and the nationalization talks: "Leave them alone".
Shares of Citi are bouncing this morning following last week's 44% slide. The stock most recently traded at $2.17, up 11.3% from Friday's closing price.
