Boeing (NYSE: BA) will restructure its commercial airplane unit following retirement of unit head Mike Bair in November.
Bair was also head of marketing operations for the unit.
Reuters cited comments from a Boeing Commercial Airplane Chief Executive Ray Conner internal memo.
Randy Tinseth, vice president of marketing at Boeing, will assume Bair's responsibilities in that segment, which will be shift to the sales group.
Bair's strategy and business development functions will move to the finance group and be led by Kevin Schemm.
Boeing shares are up 2.7 percent on the session.
