Boeing (BA) Boosts Aircraft Prices 5.5% as Input Costs, Wages Rise

Boeing (NYSE: BA) is aiming to avoid margin compression by passing along some of the costs of its customers.
According to the company Tuesday, commercial aircraft prices will rise 5.5 percent as costs tied to wages, goods, and services continue to escalate, noted Reuters today. Price hikes have already been accounted for on the website. Currently, a Boeing 787-8 is listed at $206.8 million, with a 737 MAX going for $100.5 million and 747-8 jumbo at $351.4 million.
The company will still offer discounts on large orders.
Shares of Boeing are up 2.2 percent on the session Tuesday.
