Boeing (BA) 787 Hit with Another Incident; Headline Risk Abounds

January 9, 2013 6:56 AM EST
Boeing (NYSE: BA) is having a rough week.

Following an incident with its flagship 787 Dreamliner on Monday in Boston and another on Tuesday, reports out Wednesday have another flight being canceled by All Nippon Airways after crews discovered an error message related to the aircraft's braking system.

Boeing said no information was immediately available tied to the All Nippon flight.

Though the incidents have been compacted into a shorter time frame, this week isn't the first time the 787 has had issues. In 2010, for example, a test aircraft lost power and had to rely on a backup system to land in a flight from Arizona to Texas.

Just tell that to investors. Over the last two sessions, Boeing has seen its market share fall about 4.6 percent over concerns that there might be more incidents to come. Ahead of the bell Wednesday, shares are down another 0.3 percent.
