BlackBerry (BBRY) to End 2013 Like It Started... Badly

December 30, 2013 7:19 AM EST
Complete with losing its core customer, a failed merger and a plunging stock price, 2013 is a year BlackBerry (NASDAQ: BBRY) would like to forget. However, that is not going to happen without another misstep.

Over the weekend it was reported by AllThingsD that the struggling smartphone maker pulled its latest BlackBerry 10 Twitter app after users complained about numerous bugs with the update.

Out for just 10 days, BlackBerry yanked Twitter version 10.2.2 and is now telling users to downgrade to older version 10.2.1.

On its blog over the weekend, BlackBerry said:

Twitter version 10.2.2 has been removed from BlackBerry World due to user reported issues. We are actively investigating and will provide an update here when Twitter 10.2.2 has been reposted.

If you have downloaded the 10.2.2 version and are experiencing issues please follow these steps to downgrade:

On the home screen, hold the Twitter icon until the X appears. Press the X to delete the application.

1.Open BlackBerry World.
2.In BlackBerry World go to Settings by swiping down from the top of the screen.
3.Select -> General -> Refresh BlackBerry World.
5.3Search for Twitter in BlackBerry World
6.Install Twitter version 10.2.1
