BlackBerry (Nasdaq: BBRY) is lower Tuesday amid news it will shutter one of its key production facilities.

CBC.ca said that BlackBerry will close its Ottawa Product Development Centre hardware group, which will cost about 120 jobs. The move is part of a series of layoffs, aimed at cutting the company's workforce by about 40 percent. Those cuts are expected to end in May 2014, having been announced last September.
