BlackBerry (Nasdaq: BBRY) is more likely to sell itself in pieces than as a whole, according to Taiwan handset makers.
Digitimes reports that smartphone vendors using Google (Nasdaq: GOOG) Android are less likely to want to takeover management of BlackBerry due to low-enthusiasm behind BlackBerry 10 as well as the high-cost to maintain platform operations.
IBM (NYSE: IBM) and Cisco Systems (Nasdaq: CSCO) might be interested in BlackBerry's wireless business service operations while names like Samsung and Amazon (Nasdaq: AMZN) may acquire the BlackBerry 10 (BB10) platform and related patents.
Shares of BlackBerry are up 1.1 percent on the session.
