According to the latest data from comScore (Nasdaq: SCOR), BlackBerry (Nasdaq: BBRY) might be selling as many smartphones as some have speculated.
comScore data for the three months ending April 2013 had BlackBerry down 0.8 points for 5.1 percent share of the U.S. smartphone operating system (OS) market. The number was the worst out of the top five ranked in the data.
But, this is a three-month average and BlackBerry 10 devices weren't sold in the U.S. during January or February.
Looking at data spanning December 2012 to March 2013, BlackBerry lost 1.2 points of U.S. market share, so it could be preliminarily argued that sales are improving.
Shares of BlackBerry are down 0.7 percent Tuesday.
*** Note: BlackBerry's Z10 landed on AT&T March 22nd.
