Thinking about getting a BlackBerry (Nasdaq: BBRY) smartphone, but don't want to risk $199 or more to get one? Enter: Verizon (NYSE: VZ).

CNET noted today that Verizon Wireless is offering the BlackBerry Z10 smartphone for free with two-year contract. If you have 49 cents, you can get a similar deal from AT&T (NYSE: T).

News comes following the recent launch of the Z30 smartphone and a BlackBerry struggles to gain market share while fighting bad karma on news of a failed takeover effort.

The Z10 sold at $199 on contract before, but it wasn't made clear exactly when the price drop happened.

Shares of BlackBerry are up 1.2 percent Friday.
