Best Buy (NYSE: BBY) is looking to unload a ton of Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) Surface Pro tablets.
CNET observed today that Best Buy has cut the price of the original Surface Pro by 45 percent to about $500. That's down from the regular sales price of about $900.
While over a year old, the Surface Pro still has some strong features. It sports a 128-gigabyte hard drive, 720p HD video camera, 10.6-inch display, and support of Microsoft's Office suite.
Notably, Microsoft sells the 128-GB Surface Pro for $600, making Best Buy's price the one to beat.
Shares of Microsoft are positive Friday.
