BP plc (NYSE: BP) shares are indicated lower Thursday as CEO Bob Dudley issued comments at an shareholder meeting in the U.K.
He said BP will sell interests in some of its older Gulf of Mexico assets as part of a broader asset sale program.
Since 2010, Dudley noted BP has sold some $23 billion in assets.
Shares are off about 0.6 percent ahead of the bell.
