Autodesk (ADSK) Sinks On Disappointing Q4 Results and Outlook

Shares of design software maker Autodesk, Inc. (Nasdaq: ADSK) are down over 10% in after-hours action after reporting disappointing Q4 results and guidance.

Autodesk reported Q4 EPS of $0.52, ex-items, 2 cents lower than the analyst estimate of $0.54. Revenues for the quarter were $599 million, versus the consensus of $581.5 million.

Autodesk sees Q1 EPS of $0.46-$0.48, ex-items, versus the consensus of $0.52. Autodesk sees Q1 sales of $575-$585 million, versus the consensus of $582.7 million.

Autodesk sees FY09 EPS of $2.15-$2.25, versus $2.24. Autodesk sees FY09 revenues of $2.425-$2.475 billion, versus the consensus of $2.46 billion.

Autodesk said economic headwinds affected sales.
