As Q1 Earnings Season Winds Down, Results Appear Better than Expected

With Q1 earnings season peaking yesterday and today, just how have companies done overall?

According to StreetInsider.com's EPS Insider page, companies have topped estimates a little better than the five-year running average. We have a "beat" rate at about 67 percent, versus the trailing average of 65 percent.

The following are the top 10 best and worst performers for Q1.
