Apple's (AAPL) New iPad Still Has One Frustrating Drawback...

...it can't make julienne fries. (Just kidding...there's an app for that.)

Sales of Apple's (Nasdaq: AAPL) new iPad are expected to be robust, with analysts already falling over themselves to raise price targets over the last few days. There is one feature many might not find as appealing, however...

According to The Verge, Apple's new iPad will need to be connected to a WiFi network to conduct FaceTime sessions. Though prior versions of the iPad had similar restrictions, one might assume the new iPad -- and its smashing 4G LTE capability and quicker processor -- would be able to utilize faster wireless speeds to allow users the ability to conduct face-to-face conversations anywhere.

Further, the iPad on LTE can generate its own "Personal Hotspot" WiFi network, which, again, one would assume would allow other iOS users to make FaceTime calls. But, no, that's also not a possibility.

Video games are going to look awesome and run faster on the new iPad...so get in line (psst, 8am local time Friday!).

Shares of Apple are trading in positive territory Thursday morning.
