Apple's (Nasdaq: AAPL) iPhone 5 has been bombarded with rumors flying in from all over, but the latest has to do with its design.
According to Digitimes, Apple's iPhone 5 device will "adopt a curved cover glass," according to industry sources.
With the high capital investment to manufacture curved glass, its unclear whether the rumor will come to fruition. Digitimes notes that Apple has already acquired 200 to 300 glass cutting machines.
Curved glass is already used on Google's (Nasdaq: GOOG) Nexus S phone, so the rumor isn't too far from outer space. However, with the iPhone retaining its same classic shape through several revamps, a curved glass face would certainly evoke different reactions from devotees.
Apple shares are down about 1.4 percent early Monday.
