Apple (AAPL) in Focus Ahead of iPad Event

Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) remains about 1 percent lower into the company's October event today. The event, which many expect will be to debut the new line of iPad tablets, among other items, will begin at 10am PDT (1pm EDT).

Notably, broader markets are also pressured Thursday, though many are well off earlier lows.
