Apple's (Nasdaq: AAPL) iPhone 5s was the winner following last weekend's launch.
Research firm Localytics said that about 1.36 percent of active iPhone users in the U.S. were on a new device. Of thetal, the iPhone 5s was said to garner about 1.05 percent of the market, with 0.31 percent going to the iPhone 5c. International has the iPhone 5s at 0.8 percent of total iPhones, while the iPhone 5c is about 0.2 percent.
Of all U.S. carriers with the new devices, AT&T (NYSE: T) is faring the best with 0.67 adoption rate (as a percentage of all active iPhones), while Verizon (NYSE: VZ) is at 0.5 percent, Sprint (NYSE: S)is 0.12 percent and T-Mobile (NYSE: TMUS) is at 0.07 percent.
The the study Localytics examined over 20 million unique iPhones and investigated the breakdowns by United States carriers and by global activations. The timeframe for this study is all active iPhones from when the iPhone 5s and 5c were first released on September 20th, 2013 until 8 pm EST, Sunday September 22nd, 2013.
