Apple's (Nasdaq: AAPL) iPhone 5s has been a winner for the company since launch in September. But, the iPhone 5c might be starting to gain some traction.
Localytics released a research report early today showing activity with the iPhone 5c has heated up.
In the U.S., the ratio of 5s-to-5c users has dropped from 3.0 times since launch down to around 1.9 times.
Global data show that the ratio is closer to 2.3 times, from 4.0 times at launch. Though the move is in a similar direct to that of users in the U.S., it hints that the 5c is still a little but too expensive for purchase in those countries where the initial cost isn't subsidized by telecoms.
Shares of Apple are up 2.6 percent on the session.
