Apple (AAPL) iPhone 5 Camera Has 'Hazy' Issue; No-Brainer Solution Offered

October 2, 2012 7:05 AM EDT
"I'd like to own and Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) iPhone 5, but I wish the camera was a little more fantastic." - no Apple user, ever.

According to reports out Tuesday, some iPhone 5 users have reported that a "purple flare" shows up when there is a bright light in the frame.

Apple said that purple flaring experienced by some iPhone 5 users is "normal behavior" for the camera. A rep for Apple said that users should try to angle the camera away from the bright light source when taking pictures. So, if little Tommy is having a birthday party or whatever, anticipate taking no cake photos. Or, candle-less cake photos, the happiest kind.

AppleInsider said the abnormality might be attributed to chromatic aberration, a normal distortion of light.

We're sorry, this entire article is staring to sound like a Woodstock flashback.

Ahead of the bell, Apple is indicated for a higher open.
