Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) has started the production of the second-generation popular iPad tablet computer, according to a report from the Wall Street Journal citing people familiar with the matter.
The report states that the new iPad will be lighter and thinner and come with a faster processor. The iPad 2 will also be equipped with more memory and more powerful graphics processor.
In a no-doubter, the next Apple tablet will have front and back facing cameras for features like video conferencing.
The device will not be sporting a high-resolution retina display, and will have a screen similar to the first iPad.
